Celebrating my travelling ways at Gone to Swan

For the past three years I’ve been writing Gone to Swan – documenting my travels from exploring a part of our planet.

I’ve been very lucky to see so much, meet so many interesting and fascinating people and to learn each time: about the destination, about the people and about myself.

I’m honoured to join My 7 links – and have chosen to share these links:

My most beautiful post is about a woman I met in the Sacred Valley in Peru – in a few minutes, she made a lifetime of difference on me.

My most popular post: when I wrote about meeting a Tasmanian devil during my visit to Tasmania. There’s many people obsessed with this endangered, gentle creature.

My most controversial post was about the fake market in Shanghai, China – a spot that is hidden from visitors yet is promoted at the same time.

My most helpful post is about visiting the southern Caribbean island of Grenada – many many emails and requests for more information.

My post whose success surprised me was writing about the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi – which made me happy that so many people wanted to know more about this part of the world.

One post I feel didn’t get the attention it deserved was about the guitar makers of Cebu Island in the Phillipines – amazing to see them handcraft these items used by musicians all over the world.

One of the posts that I am most proud of is about Mardi Gras in New Orleans – its one of my favourite cities and attending this annual festival showed me the true spirit of this city.

Five blogs I chose to nominate:
