The natural beauty

When I think about Canada, I’m grateful that so much of our natural beauty can still be seen – there’s plenty of places to see the landscape that hasn’t been covered in cement, buildings or big box shops.

On Cape Breton Island, its one of the reasons to visit, like this view on the way to the island’s west coast:

Or this vista approaching Cheticamp:

Or the gorgeous, expansive area near the beach in Grand Etang:

Or heading up north, to the North River:

Or the view from the Skyline Trail of the Cabot Trail:

And of course, the ocean, near Keltic Lodge in Cape Breton Highlands National Park:

How can you not want to come see this island? Mother Nature did a great job!

  1. The bridge you were crossing is the Margaree Harbour bridge, leading into the beautiful community of Belle Cote and the beach area is Belle Cote beach, about 20 minutes before Cheticamp. Hope everyone stops in Belle Cote, instead of just driving by….sunsets are amazing!!
