Memories of April 2013 – Harbour Island, Bahamas

Bahamas - Harbour Island

I welcomed the opportunity to head south again in the month of April, to visit the Caribbean country that had been my introduction to the region: The Bahamas.

On my second trip to Harbour Island, a persistent storm made for a rainy welcome to the island – which meant myself and my colleagues were forced to sit inside, wishing for the sun. We went to have breakfast and tried to do some exploring, but the storm dictated the day – spent under cover.

We toasted the rain and then eventually toasted the end of the rain and once again took to the golf carts to see what made Harbour Island unique.

But it wasn’t until the next day, when when the sun was shining and the turquoise sea made its way onto the Pink Sands Beach, that we discovered why this place was a paradise.
