Memories of May 2013 – wandering around New Hampshire

New Hampshire - Manchester

I started exploring the state of New Hampshire in Portsmouth, a lovely capitol city with an endless array of old brick buildings from the 19th century that have been revitalized and renewed.

But when it comes to this northeast state, its really the outdoors that make it:

And when I came out of the Mt. Washington area, I spent time in the lovely town of Portsmouth, with its unique architecture and access to the ocean:

And I quite loved this mural, which had been part of a project the city put in a few years ago. This is one of the few that remains, thanks to a building owner who appreciated the shark.

New Hampshire is definitely roadtrip worthy – a place that offers natural beauty, local charm and a dash of history.
