Hurray for 2013 – cheers to my travels!

In 2013, I was lucky enough to go to so many places on the planet.

I explored my home turf of Canada:  visiting British Columbia’s Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, spotting the wide variety of artistic creations in Montreal, Quebec and finding out about cuisine and culture in Inverary, Nova Scotia on Cape Breton Island this past year:

And I was also lucky enough to explore in Ontario for its food and wine offerings – first to the Niagara Icewine Festival and then to Savour Stratford:

I was lucky enough to visit Ecuador, seeing the wonders of the rainforest in the southwest corner of the county and then to the islands of the Galapagos to see wondrous creatures:

As always I explored several American cities – New Orleans food and culture, the art scene in Philadelphia, Portsmouth’s history and beaches, downtown Dallas, Music City: Nashville and the secret of the Midwest: Omaha:

I spent some time in the Caribbean – back to explore more of  The Bahamas and see my friends and the island of St. Lucia for its UNESCO site of The Pitons:

And then I headed east to Europe, to visit the European capitol of culture, Marseille, France:

And my farthest outpost – to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates:

I’m lucky to have travelled to so many diverse places on the planet – cheers to us all for continuing to explore our world, whether its the backyard or half way around the planet.
