Savoury and sweet tastes in Arizona

As I wandered from Mesa to Yuma to Tucson, I had many fab things to taste. Discovering the wide variety of vegetable and fruit that are in season was a joy to my palate, although probably added to my waistline!

For those of us who love our greens, this is a lovely sight:

And if you’re veggie-positive, so many things are inspiring chefs – like bok choy, tomatoes, avocadoes and lettuce – morphing into side dishes, salsa, guacamole, potato tacos and tasty salads:

But there’s also other fab things – like Mexican cuisine – tasty bites courtesy of Guero Canelo in Tucson:

And of course, there has to be some sweet tastes – like a date shake from Martha’s Date Farm, a southwestern s’more from PY Steakhouse and olive olive Mexican Lime cupcakes from the Queen Creek Olive Mill:
