Through the incense smoke…

My last day in Beijing was spent with a visit to the Yonghegong Lama Buddhist Temple – another hot sunny day, which didn’t dissuade anyone:

After a walk through the trees, and the swirl of incense took over as most visitors paid their respects:

And for me, it was a turn of the prayer wheel, while I sat in the shade, watching people through the fragrant clouds of incense:

and I gazed at the architecture, and soon slowly walked out, ready to face the endless people, shopping and extreme heat of a typical day in Beijing.
