Beautiful beaches and endless shades of blue

I’m lucky to have visited numerous islands and beaches, and I never tire of the contrast of palm trees, sand and endless shades of blue sky and sea:

Anguilla - four beaches

Four different beaches on the isle of Anguilla – Sandy Ground, Shoal Bay, Crocus Bay Beach and Cove Bay. Because of the time of day, the shades of blue look different – as does the colour of the sand. The difference in person is marked by the number of people, the presence of a beach bar and the time of day – but the beaches – they’re all worthy of a visit.

But if you think this island is just beaches, check this spot at Little Bay, a popular one for swimming and cliff jumping:

But its an island that offers plenty of options for fun along its shoreline – and endless possibilities for the perfect postcard shot, like this one from Sandy Island:

Or my fave image from Maunday’s Bay:

So yes, its all about blue and beaches – but there’s so many to discover, its worth the effort to explore. That’s my kind of travel challenge on sunny summer day in the Caribbean.
